Recycling Marketing Cooperative for Tennessee, Inc. (RMCT) is a non-profit organization created in 1993 to serve all of Tennessee through our recycling marketing and education program.  RMCT awards customers top prices fro materials through a competitively based multi-bid process through verified vendors.  RMCT provides county, city governments and private industries with information, training, and technical assistance to ensure proper collection and quality control procedure.  RMCT supports public education and promotional programs to foster the growth and development of recycling programs across the State of Tennessee.

 

RMCT provides technical assistance to help develop or expand recycling programs at no cost to the client.  RMCT understands that each recycling program is unique and strives to tailor our services to meet our client's needs.

Our Vision

RMCT provides technical assistance to counties and private industry in developing or expanding solid waste programs as well as the recycling and marketing of existing materials.  RMCT provides grant education, availability, and completion assistance to all.

Our Purpose

RMCT provides outstanding technical assistance on a personal level to Tennessee counties and private industry while marketing recyclables thus reducing the amount of material placed in landfills.

Our Mission

RMCT is the State of Tennessee's technical assistance contractor.  RMCT helps foster growth of recycling programs and marketing services through customer service and site visits to ensure counties the highest diversion rates from landfills through recycling and personalized programs.

RMCT is funded in part by grants from: Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, USDA-Rural Development and US Environmental Protection Agency.
